Elevate Women's Workforce Institute is a nonprofit organization dedicated to closing the re-entry gap for women through evidence-based AI training, career development, and wraparound support, at no cost to participants.
Women represent nearly half of the U.S. workforce, yet millions face significant barriers when attempting to re-enter after career interruptions caused by caregiving, illness, financial hardship, or domestic circumstances. These gaps, often spanning years, leave women underqualified for a labor market that has been rapidly transformed by artificial intelligence and automation.
The problem is not a lack of ambition or capability. It is a structural gap between the skills women left the workforce with and the skills today's employers require. Without targeted intervention, this gap widens every year, deepening economic inequality and leaving critical talent untapped.
Elevate Women's Workforce Institute directly addresses this gap through a structured, evidence-based training model that meets women where they are and prepares them for where the economy is going.
Our theory of change is grounded in the WIOA framework (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act) and aligns with federal workforce development priorities including Title I Adult Programs, DOL Women's Bureau initiatives, and HHS self-sufficiency goals. Our model is designed to meet reporting requirements for government grant compliance.
Our program serves adult women (18+) in the Greater Houston metropolitan area who are re-entering the workforce following a career interruption of six months or more. We prioritize participants from low-to-moderate income households and those facing systemic barriers to employment.
Our outcome metrics are designed to align with federal and state grant reporting requirements including WIOA performance indicators, DOL common measures, and HHS self-sufficiency benchmarks.
Grant funders want to see that you're not duplicating services. These partnerships demonstrate community integration, referral pipelines, and shared accountability for outcomes.
We are actively seeking government grants, foundation funding, and employer partnerships to expand our reach across the Houston region. Our team is ready to provide any supplemental information required for grant applications or due diligence.
